Job Description
The sales representative acts as an important liaison between our customers and our buyers; and must have the ability to communicate effectively to customers, vendors and all levels of management. Sales Representatives must maintain all aspects of customer service, generating sales, product knowledge, merchandising, pricing items and the daily upkeep of the store. This particular sales position will require someone with extensive guitar knowledge along with some band and orchestra background as well as Pro Audio knowledge.

Ted brown Music is a family owned and operated one stop music source. Our doors opened in 1931, and we continue with an 90 year old tradition, facilitating musical needs. We are a local company with locations in Tacoma, Puyallup, Richland Yakima, Silverdale and Seattle. This has provided us with statewide name recognition and a leader for kids and adult music lessons.
Essential functions
1. Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service in a welcoming environment, including greeting each customer, maintaining solid product knowledge and sending thank you notes to customers.
2. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices, including POS system, rental contracts and all aspects related to sales guidelines and loss prevention.
3. Maintain awareness of all marketing, promotional advertisements to include vendor and company specific promotions. Effectively communicate these areas to customers to support marketing efforts.
4. Assist in the upkeep of the store, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping. To include restocking merchandise on the sales floor, receiving merchandise, dusting vacuuming, cleaning and organizing the sales floor.
5. Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash at the POS registers.
6. Communicate all customer concerns and or requests to the store manager.
7. Demonstrate product line; play, or set up product for customers.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch or climb a ladder. Employees will be on their feet all day. The employee must also frequently lift and / or move items over 30 pounds. The working condition is loud; due to consistent demonstrating of musical instruments and pro-audio equipment.

Pay: $13.69 - $16.00 per hour
