We are seeking a Corporate Quality Manager for our office in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
Position Summary:
Responsible for assisting the Corporate Director of Quality with the improvement of the quality systems, customer interface, APQP, problem solving, warranty analysis and supplier development. Through input from Customers, staff, and manufacturing facilities, the Corporate Quality Manager will access the needs of the Manufacturing facilities and recommend policies and systems for continual improvement. The position requires extensive travel.
Essential Job Functions:
- Monitoring customer portals, internal quality performance and customer warranty performance.
- Administering compliance to ISO/ IATF 16949 requirements.
- Reviewing Quality Systems and documents.
- Working with the manufacturing facilities to commonize and improve systems.
- Conducting IATF audits of the quality system at the corporate offices and manufacturing facilities.
- Representing the Company with customer and industry personnel by visiting customers and attending industry conferences.
- Reviewing and administering adherence to advanced quality planning activities, elements, and schedules via internal audits and Product Realization gate reviews.
- Assist, and lead if necessary, the manufacturing facilities and suppliers with problem solving.
- Train in problem solving and continuous improvement techniques.
- Work with suppliers on problem solving, supplier development and conduct supplier audits and surveys.
- Reviewing quality action plans internally and with suppliers for timely completion and effectiveness.
- Review and establishing quality-related training programs as required.
- Evaluate software for process improvements.
- Responsible for ensuring that customer requirements are met.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree is required with strong preference in mechanical or manufacturing engineering area.- Working knowledge of the automotive industry, customer specifications, customer web sites and requirements and training or knowledge of ISO/ IATF 16949 requirements.
- Must have experience with OEM quality processes, customer specific requirements and customer portals.
- Certified IATF 16949 lead auditor.
- Ability to travel up to 80%.
Salary : $98,700 - $125,000
