Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Powerplant Repairer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft powerplant systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background, with experience in aviation maintenance and a thorough understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations. You will work with various tools and equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of aircraft engines.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on aircraft powerplant systems, including engines and related components.
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Utilize CAD software such as CATIA and AutoCAD for design modifications and schematics interpretation.
- Operate coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for precision measurements.
- Execute assembly, fabrication, and equipment repair tasks using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.
- Adhere to AS9100 quality standards throughout all repair processes.
- Maintain compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) during all maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high safety standards.
- Document all maintenance activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Perform heavy lifting as required during repairs and installations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in aircraft maintenance or related fields such as vehicle maintenance or military aviation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in avionics, electrical systems, and sheet metal work.
- Familiarity with welding techniques and soldering practices is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
- Proficient in using various hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments including ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour

- Aviation: 5 years (Preferred)
- Aircraft Technician: 6 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Airframe & Powerplant License (Preferred)
- FAA Repairman Certificate (Preferred)
