Sanitation Supervisor - Streamwood, IL area

• First shift (must be flexible as needs vary)
• Strong leadership skills required. Will lead 6 direct reports (leads) and 80 indirect reports*
• Spanish fluency required

• Supervise and coordinate daily sanitation operations, including cleaning of production lines, equipment, floors, and facility areas.
• Ensure compliance with all company, customer, and regulatory sanitation standards (FDA, USDA, SQF, GMPs, HACCP).
• Assign and monitor tasks for sanitation team members to ensure timely and thorough cleaning during shift changeovers and down days.
• Train and coach team members on safe chemical handling, cleaning procedures, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain accurate records including sanitation logs, pre-op inspections, and chemical usage reports.
• Support internal and external audits by ensuring documentation is up to date and cleaning procedures meet expectations.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance departments to coordinate cleaning schedules and minimize downtime.
• Monitor inventory of sanitation supplies and place orders as needed.
• Identify and resolve sanitation or pest control issues proactively.
• Enforce safety rules and company policies; report accidents, near misses, or hazards promptly.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical training preferred.
• 2–4 years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing or processing environment.
• 1 year of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Understand and have knowledge of chemicals used in the cleaning process.
• Understand the manufacturing process and equipment parts/systems to ensure proper sanitization of equipment and efficient line start-ups.
• Understand and have knowledge of GMP, SQF audits, FDA, PMO, HACCP, and OSHA requirements.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Fluency in Spanish is required.
