What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Records Specialist position at telaGen?
The Medical Records Specialist is primarily responsible for initial stages of all tissue donor charts to include the review of donor records, requesting records from third party providers when necessary and final compilation of all records for every donor chart. OBGYN experience preferred.
- Adherence to AATB Standards and FDA regulations, as well as Company standard operating procedures and established protocols regarding donor suitability;
- Review donor charts for donor suitability and accuracy, verify documents contained within and request appropriate information as necessary.
- Coordinate compilation of pending information; monitor progress for completion of donor charts;
- Provide follow up information and notification of changes to appropriate agencies regarding tissue/chart status;
