Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of intricate wiring, bonding, on fiber optic cable, connectors, junction boxes and similar equipment under direction of supervisor.
- Must be able to read and understand schematic wiring diagrams and process sheets.
- Must be able to use simple electrical instruments to make polarity determinations, measure insulating Resistance, perform dielectric withstanding voltage tests.
- Must be able to assemble properly and use effectively various molds and plastic injection devices.
- Must be able to work from detailed instructions on standard assemblies with guidance and supervision.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 1O's and lOO's. Perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Carry out detailed written or oral instructions independently.
- Ability to read blueprints
- Able to lift 50lbs
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Ability to apply common sense in performing job
- Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to use basic high school math skills
- 2-4 years cable assembly experience
Physical Demands :
- Good coordination and flexibility in both hands
- Move and occasionally lift up to 50lbs. or more
