Telos Health Systems staffs Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, PMHNPs to improve residents’ quality of life and overall well-being while simultaneously reducing return to hospital stays.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP to join our team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients in one or more skilled nursing facility settings. You will work in a collaborative environment focusing on medication management, therapeutic interventions, and patient education. Your expertise will contribute to the overall well-being of the residents as you address their mental health needs.
Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and evaluations of patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in North Carolina.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration protocols and mental health treatment modalities.
- Experience working in skilled nursing facilities settings, long term care is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in psychiatric nursing practices.
Coverage area includes Sparta, NC, minimum commitment is 2 days a week exciting PMHNP opportunity with lots of flexibility!
