The Early Childhood Engagement Center at Temple Emanuel is a Reggio Emilia inspired pre-school. Our school offers a four-hour or six-hour program with classrooms that meet three and five days per week.
The Early Childhood Engagement Center at Temple Emanuel is seeking enthusiastic, creative, and loving teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. We are a Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool that offers a safe, inclusive and respectful space built on a foundation of Jewish values. We view our children as capable, motivated, and independent learners who explore their innate curiosities through joyful play and investigation as they seek to make meaning of the world around them.

Job Responsibilities:
Provide responsive, relationship-based care and create a stimulating environment for children. Develop creative and age appropriate activities based on a child's interests. Create a nurturing environment for play and exploration for children.
Build and nurture partnerships with parents, including parent communication and involvement.
Work in a collaborative relationship with other staff.
Perform regular maintenance/cleaning tasks e.g. arranging the classroom, moving light weight furniture, picking up toys, sweeping the floor.
Qualifications:
Interest and understanding of play based learning.
Able to work with children ranging from 18 months – 5 years of age.
College degree preferably in Early Childhood Education
Physical ability to interact with children including but not limited to:
Picking up children weighing up to 40 lbs., able to supervise children climbing or moving around on the playground equipment, able to squat, kneel, and sit at a child’s level for short and long periods of time to allow communication with the children in an effective manner.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
