What are the responsibilities and job description for the CERTIFIED SURGICAL TECHNICIAN I (FT; 40hrs/wk) - Temple Health/Chestnut Hill Hospital position at Temple Health – Temple University Health System?
Assists surgical team during operative procedures. Arranges and inventories sterile set-up for operations, and hands items as needed to the operative team. Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning the operating rooms. The Surgical Technician is responsible for the provision of surgical care to meet identified patient outcomes, and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse. Surgical Technician Certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire or transfer.
Education
Post High School Diploma Program (Required)
Other : Operating Room Technician training program that includes on-the-job training. (Required)
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
License/Certifications
BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
CORT - Cert Operating Room Tech (Required) or CST - Cert Surgical Tech (Required)
