The Coordinator of Outpatient Pharmacy Business Services is responsible for coordinating, overseeing, and performing prior authorizations. Perform duties associated with concurrent, retrospective, and prospective drug utilization review. Interfaces with physicians, pharmacists, speciality pharmacy providers, pharmacy benefits managers, patients, in all matters related to benefits, therapeutic interventions, and medication utilization. Develops and maintains appropriate clinical and financial evidence-based documentation that supports the outpatient pharmacy in obtaining and providing medications and pharmacy services to its patients. Monitors patient follow up activities that assist in assuring compliance to therapeutic regimens. The Coordinator of Outpatient Pharmacy Business Services is responsible for providing information to providers and patients related to available benefits. Support the outpatient pharmacy business management and clinical teams in order to provide the highest quality pharmacy care.
Education
Bachelors Degree : Pharmacy (Required)
Doctorate Degree : Pharmacy (Preferred)
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience
3 Years experience in Clinical Pharmacy/Pharmacy Business Operations (Required)
License/Certifications
RPH-LIC - PA Pharmacist License (Required)
