Summary:
Tempo Inc. is looking for a fleet specialist who is responsible for overseeing the mechanical operations of Tempo’s fleet of vehicles. They will work closely with drivers, divisional partners, and management to ensure that vehicles are functioning properly and meet the organizational needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining schedules for vehicle maintenance and repairs, using computer systems and related databases.
- Performing quarterly vehicle inspections to ensure that they are in good working order.
- Install GPS devices in Company vehicles.
- Communicating with drivers to ensure that they are aware of their vehicle maintenance requirements.
- Working with repair shops to coordinate vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure Drivers are completing their daily vehicle Inspection and scheduling any repairs needed.
- Transporting vehicles to and from Repair Shops and or vendors.
- Assisting as needed with monthly Department Fleet meetings.
- Assisting drivers after hours as needed.
- Performs other related Fleet job duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and fleet management software.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, occasionally more.
- Work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions.
- Working in outdoor elements.
