Tender Care Home Health & Hospice currently has excellent career opportunities for a Medical Orders Coordinator to provide individualized, goal directed care.
Job Duties (include, but not limited to):
- Sends and maintains physician orders, determining that they are kept current and within compliance with agency policy/processes, as well as Medicare regulations.
- Responsible for processing information necessary to maintain an effective flow of internal and external documents.
- Submits weekly reports on physician order status to Corporate Accounts Manager/Billing Department, and Director of Business Development.
- Details progress on current MD orders for EOE billing spreadsheet on a daily basis.
- Runs, prints and prepares daily physician orders batch for revision and for delivery to hospitals and medical facilities. Ensures orders are delivered and retrieved in a timely manner.
- Runs and prints physician aging report weekly.
- Identifies & communicates physician signature issues in a timely manner.
- Maintains excellent communication with Sales Team to identify and support customer service related initiatives to meet company goals and objectives.
- Ensures all signed medical orders are delivered to Billing Department on a daily basis.
- Adhere and complies with standards to include Medicare and HIPAA guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent. One to two years’ experience in health care setting.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills.
- Demonstrates excellent public relations and customer service skills.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office; including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of basic clerical and communication principles.
- Current driver's license and auto liability insurance.
