Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to join our team. As a Laundry Aide, you will be responsible for ensuring that all laundry items are properly cleaned, sorted, folded, and delivered in a timely manner. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Needing second shift.
Responsibilities:
- Sort and separate laundry items according to color, fabric type, and care instructions
- Operate and maintain laundry equipment, such as washing machines and dryers
- Load and unload laundry machines, ensuring proper weights and settings are used
- Use appropriate cleaning agents and laundry products to remove stains and odors
- Check and treat items for stains and damages before laundering
- Inspect and fold cleaned laundry items, ensuring they are properly sorted and stored
- Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and inform the supervisor when additional supplies are needed
- Assist with the delivery of clean laundry to the appropriate areas or individuals
- Follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness in the laundry area
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and excellent service
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred
- Knowledge of laundry equipment and laundry products
- Ability to understand and follow care instructions for different types of fabrics
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Physical stamina to lift, push, and pull heavy laundry loads
- Basic math skills for measuring detergents and adjusting machine settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
