Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Minimum of two years’ work experience in K-12 and/or higher education student guidance, counseling, recruitment, student engagement, dual enrollment, or related field.

General Description: The Student Engagement Coordinator reports to the Vice President and is responsible for spearheading student engagement activities along with supporting recruitment initiatives for the Student Services Office, including improving student retention and growing dual enrollment. Specific duties include leading the Student Success Committee to plan student events on campus that support; reviewing and disseminating withdrawal data to determine if additional student supports could improve retention and persistence; manage dual enrollment/dual credit recruitment processes; maintain and disseminate the dual enrollment handbook to instructors to ensure consistency and compliance with TBR and TCAT Athens policies and procedures; foster positive and cooperative relationships with high school counselors in our service area by maintaining open and consistent communication channels, making regular high school visits to promote our programs, and hosting an annual counselors’ luncheon; lead recruitment efforts through high school visits, college and career fairs, open house, and other events; create and conduct engaging presentations to large groups to market the college and its programs; assist in organizing summer camp opportunities to increase students’ awareness of STEM and career technical fields; collaborate with TBR marketing staff to create program brochures and other marketing materials; coordinate the purchase of promotional items for recruiting and other events; organize Skills Signing Day for high school students who have committed to attending TCAT Athens; coordinate community outreach events to promote TCAT Athens to the broader public; maintain a working knowledge of institutional and federal policies as well as COE accreditation standards as they apply to student services (e.g. Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Title VI, Title IX).
Salary: Commensurate with related experience and education in accordance with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
