What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinician position at Tennyson Center For Children?
Summary:
Provides individual, family, and group therapy, in addition to clinical case management for children and adolescents who may have exposure to traumatic events and require a higher level of care to support their emotional, social, and behavioral needs.
Requirements:
- Works collaboratively from intake to discharge with internal and external multi-disciplinary team (MDT) members to ensure continuity and consistency of care for clients and families.
- Provides clinical case direction and recommendations to teachers, Student Engagement Specialists (SES), as well as the MDT.
- Actively participates in weekly individual clinical supervision, clinical team meetings, group supervision, child team meetings, and classroom debriefs; as well as schedule and lead monthly staffing meetings with the entire MDT for each client.
- Plans and conducts weekly group therapy.
- Maintains up-to-date documentation and overall quality assurance for assigned clients.
- Works collaboratively with client, TCC treatment team, and external MDT in treatment and discharge planning to best support individualized client needs and trauma informed care principals.
Education and Experience:
- Master of Social Work or a graduate degree in a related field is required.
- Registered and is in good standing with the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)
- Post-graduate work experience treating families and children is preferred.
- TCC requires that direct care providers be able to perform physical restraints or containments in cases where imminent risk of physical harm is present in children ages 5-18 years.
- All candidates must have, or qualify to obtain a current Colorado driver license. (Must obtain Colorado license within 30 days of employment.)
- Employment Requirement: All employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by September 30, 2021. All persons offered a position will be required to provide valid proof of vaccination prior to starting employment.
Pay and Benefits:
- New Hire Sign On Bonus: $500 after 90 days; additional $1000 after 6 months
