Business Development Manager – EV Charging Summit & Expo (USA)
Location: Fully Remote (Must be US-based, East Coast)
Travel: Required to attend EV Charging Summit & Expo – Las Vegas 2027
Reports to: Commercial Director / General Manager

THE ROLE
As Business Development Manager, you will drive sponsorship and exhibition revenue for the EV Charging Summit & Expo 2027 in Las Vegas.
This is a high-impact commercial role for someone who thrives on new business, understands (or is excited to master) the EV charging and clean mobility ecosystem, and has a strong track record in consultative B2B sales.
You’ll work closely with the Commercial Director, event leadership, and marketing/content teams to build partnerships that shape the event agenda and deliver real value to sponsors, exhibitors, and attendees.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Generate high-quality leads and build a strong sales pipeline
- Conduct consultative sales calls with EV charging solution providers, utilities, fleets, real estate groups, software platforms, and infrastructure partners
- Create compelling, value-led proposals and sponsorship packages
- Close sponsorship, exhibition, and partnership deals
- Develop bespoke partnership opportunities for major accounts
- Build long-term relationships across the EV charging ecosystem
- Collaborate with the content team to align sponsors with speaking, branding, and thought-leadership opportunities
- Provide hands-on account management to maximize partner ROI
- Maintain an active LinkedIn presence to grow personal brand and event visibility

- Securing 55% re-booking rates from existing partners
- Creating 5 high-quality proposals per week
- Closing at least 1 deal per week
- Engaging 2 new prospects daily

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in B2B business development or sponsorship sales

- Comfortable in fast-growth or launch-phase environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience with consultative, solution-led sales
- Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator experience a plus
- Knowledge of EV charging, utilities, clean energy, fleet electrification, or infrastructure is a strong advantage (but not essential)

INTERVIEW PROCESS
(All interviews are conducted virtually unless the candidate is based in the New York area, in which case the final stage may be held in person.)
- First stage interview: Candidates will be asked to complete our competency framework in advance. This will be used as a discussion point during the first interview. This will be online with the Hiring Manager and a member of the HR team.
- Second/final stage interview: Candidates will be asked to prepare and deliver a short pitch. This will be with the Hiring Manager and a senior member of the management team.
