What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mail Associate position at Tesla?
MailOps is currently seeking a skilled Mailroom Associate for our Global Workplace Team in Fremont, CA. Candidates with prior mailroom/warehouse experience is required! This dedicated individual will comply with all safety rules, be extremely detailed-oriented, and will be responsible for making a significant contribution to our mailroom and site activities. Being proactive, thorough, and able to think on your feet are all keys to success in this role.
* Receive material of various types from delivery vehicles.
* Sort material into type packages, mail, and freight.
* Distribute time sensitive material to correct recipients both on-site and off-site.
* Process incoming packages in Bear Tracks for pick up or delivery.
* Ensure accuracy and timeliness of receiving tasks.
* Accurately scan out packages to internal customers.
* Effectively manage urgent email or message requests.
* Build and maintain business critical relationships.
* Maintain site appearance.
* Run and take action on weekly reports.
* Ensure packages are delivered or picked up by authorized personnel with-in designated time frame.
* Communicate effectively with users across various levels of the company.
* Troubleshoot problem shipments with Logistics and NPI teams.
* Communicate with management to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
* Thrive in a fast paced every changing environment.
* Pack and label outbound shipping requests.
* Previous shipping and receiving and customer service experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
* Data entry experience. Must be comfortable using modern technology: laptops, scanners, etc.
* Must have working knowledge and experience with all forms of material handling equipment (Pallet Jacks, Forklifts, Loading Docks, EPJ)
* Possess a "get it done" attitude and an urgency to resolve problems/tasks.
* Forklift certification (recommended)
* Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
* Possess a "get it done" attitude and an urgency to resolve problems/tasks.
* Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with minimal supervision.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work well as part of a team is mandatory.
* Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
* Goal oriented and driven to succeed.
* Strong attention to detail.
* A commitment to adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines.
* Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal.
* Able to perform repetitious duties while standing for extended periods.
* Clean DMV record.
* Able to work above and beyond 40 hours a week when needed.
