Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work integrally with internal and external clients and be responsible for equipment sizing and construction, technical drawings, evaluation of specifications, and code requirements.
The most successful candidates will possess the knowledge and practical experience with ASME code 8, section 1 or 4. Experience with API, ANSI, NBIC, and NACE is highly valuable.
As a Mechanical Engineer at Tessenderlo Kerley, much of the work that you will be doing will encompass ANSI using B31.1 power piping and B31.3 process piping code.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in the industrial field of petrochemical plants with knowledge and practical experience of ASME Code and pressure vessel design.

Some of what you will do:
- Design and construct equipment and generate all supporting calculations, specifications, and drawings with key factors of safety, operability, and maintainability.
Design vessels and other equipment while considering the impact on /design of all instrumentation, relief devices, piping, valves, foundation, structural steel, etc. - Create technical drawings
- Generate and evaluate specifications
- Perform mechanical integrity assessments on equipment
- Review code requirements
- Perform calculations for all project services shop-built vessels in accordance with ASME code requirements both manually and using CEI Design Program.
Qualifications
What we need from you:
- At least 3 years of experience in projects and vessel fabrication
- Working knowledge (preferably practical experience) of ASME, ANSI, NBIC, and NACE
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts to managers, designers, engineers, fabricators, and those working outside of the mechanical engineering discipline
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively and make decisions in a timely manner
