The Medical Records Clerk follows hospital policies and procedures, and federal and state regulations, and forwards reports as required by the Patient Financial Services Department, Administration, Medical Staff, etc. This position maintains all TVHC patient medical records in accordance with hospital policies and procedures and federal and state regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Good interpersonal skills dealing with patients, visitors, and employees
- Clerical skills including filing and typing with high levels of accuracy
- Basic to Intermediate Math Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Basic to Intermediate computer skills in spreadsheets and word programs
