Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ health status and needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide care for patients with infectious diseases, utilizing appropriate precautions and procedures.
- Document medical information accurately.
- Communicate with Physician or Nurse Practitioner as needed.
- Assist in emergency medicine situations, providing immediate care as necessary.
- Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing while maintaining proper handling techniques.
- Support patients with behavioral health issues through compassionate care and effective communication.
- Perform Venipuncture, administer IV infusions, and monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized patient care plans.
- Be compliant with safety protocols and HIPAA patient confidentiality laws.
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in dialysis is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and electronic health record systems.
- Ability to lift patients and equipment safely as needed throughout the shift.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members.
