Responsibilities Assists cooks in production and service functions. Cleans work area, equipment, utensils, dishes, and silverware. Stores food in designated containers and storage areas. Prepares a variety of foods according to customer orders or supervisor instructions. Portions the food and places it on plates for service. Oversees maintenance of food service equipment. Prepares food and beverages using standardized recipes. Works in a 'team environment' to prepare and deliver food to clientele. Verifies delivered supplies for quantity and quality. Supervises food storage and maintain inventory control. Seeks client input regarding food quality and make adjustments as needed. Manages special diet requests, testing and modifying recipes to meet client needs. Supervises and assigns duties to employees engaged in preparing, handling and serving food. Performs other job-related duties as required. Qualifications Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. No prior experience required. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to operate custodial equipment. Other Requirements: Ability to establish effective working relationships. Must be able to lift loads of 50-100 lbs. Able to stand on feet for prolonged periods. All positions are security-sensitive.
