What we want
The Program Aide instructs, monitors and directs campers ages 6-18 in the marine sciences fields. Ensures compliance with all safety rules and regulations. Responsible for teaching students in a variety of settings including canters, whole group instruction and field activities. May be required to drive a University vehicle for various purposes. Performs other duties as assigned.
What you need to know
Starting salary: $25 an hour
Position Details: May be required to drive a golf cart or other University vehicle as a part of duty assignment. In addition, this position requires working in both indoor and outdoor environments with groups of children.

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience leading, directing or advising children 6-18 years old
- Knowledge of natural history, biology, ecology, and related fields
Required Licenses and Certifications:
- First Aid CPR
- Driver’s License Required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- Previous Sea Camp experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Desire and ability to work with children outdoors in varied conditions
- Ability to communicate and work with groups participating (age and skill levels) and provide necessary instruction to campers
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Essential Duties/Tasks:
SUMMER SEA CAMP INSTRUCTION/GUIDE
Guides the Summer Camp Outreach Programs to people of all ages.
1) Sea Camp - a week-long residential adventure exploring the wonders of the marine and estuarine environments for campers ages 10-18;
2) Sea Campus Kids - a marine oriented day program for campers ages 6-11
SAFETY AND OTHER
Ensures compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
Responsible for teaching students in a variety of settings including canters, whole group instruction and field activities.
May be required to drive a University vehicle for various purposes.
Performs other duties as assigned.
