What are the responsibilities and job description for the Non-Tenure: Visiting Lecturer position at Texas A&M University?

The Department of Public Service and Administration in the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University invite applications for 2 temporary, part-time, non-tenure track faculty during the 2023-24 or 2024-25 academic year, in its Extended Education online graduate programs. The anticipated start date of these positions is May 28, 2024, pending enrollment need, with the possibility of teaching in other fall, spring, and summer sessions. These online faculty will be employed as Visiting Lecturers teaching credit-granting graduate courses in Advanced Nonprofit Management, Public Management, Public Service and Administration, or Homeland Security. Such temporary positions are subject to budgetary availability, student enrollment needs, and program needs and demand.

The position is an online, remote position with Texas A&M University. The Department of Public Service and Administration and one of three departments in the Bush School of Government and Public Service. Additional information about the Bush School is available at https://bush.tamu.edu/.

For visiting appointments as a Lecturer, applicants must have a doctoral degree in a closely related social science discipline, or a master's level degree appropriate for the field in which the faculty member will teach and significant teaching experience at the college/school level in the field or in a related field, or have an extraordinary record of accomplishment in an applied setting.
