What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Medical Assistant position at Texas Health Care PLLC?
Clinical Duties:
- Take vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, etc.)
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures
- Educate patients on dietary restrictions, medications, and disease management
- Sterilize instruments and maintain exam rooms
Administrative Duties:
- Schedule appointments and manage patient records
- Verify insurance and handle billing/coding tasks
- Greet and check in patients
- Answer phone calls and assist with patient inquiries
- Maintain inventory of medical supplies
Job Requirements:
- Applicants must have a Medical Assistant diploma, certification, or graduate transcript. Previous EMR/EHR experience with NextGen is a plus.
- Hours: Monday – Friday 8-5pm (must be flexible)
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required. Hours vary, must be able to work overtime as well as come early and stay late as needed.
- Must be willing to travel to Weatherford, SW Fort Worth and Fort Worth (hospital district).
- This position will be a temporary position lasting at least 12 weeks.
