Registered Nurse (RN) Antepartum
Our close-knit Antepartum unit is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?
Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, Texas 75093
Work hours: PRN, Nights, 7:00pm – 7:00am; 6 shifts per 6 week schedule
Mother/Baby Department highlights:
· 20 bed High-Risk OB unit
- Provide care for and monitoring of patients in Antepartum, High-Risk OB, GYN surgery, all female surgeries and Postpartum moms who have babies in the Level IV NICU
- Responsible for 24-hour care of non-laboring Antepartum and GYN patients
Here’s What You Need
· Diploma in Nursing or
· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program required
· BSN preferred
· One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
· One year of Antepartum experience strongly preferred
· One year of Labor & Delivery experience strongly preferred
· RN – Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
· NRP – Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program upon hire required
· IFM – Intermediate Fetal Monitoring upon hire preferred
What You Will Do
· Assesses the patient
· Plans the care of the patient
· Intervenes as appropriate
· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
