Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
Department highlights:
- 17-bed Surgical Trauma PCU
- The Surgical Trauma Progressive Care Unit provides care to a patient population with trauma related injuries and pre- and post-surgical patients requiring specialized monitoring and interventions. Cares for patients sustaining sudden multi- system injuries; including blunt and/or penetrating trauma injuries, continuous cardiac monitoring, management of chest tubes, wound/skin care, titration of insulin drips for patients with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) diagnosis, respiratory compromised patients that require specialized equipment including continuous respiratory interventions, and tracheostomy care, multi-system organ failure, respiratory distress, sepsis, hematology, GI Bleeds, Renal/Liver Failure, Acid-Base and Electrolyte Imbalances, and cardiac abnormalities.
