About Texas Research International
Texas Research International Inc (TRI) is a group of privately-owned companies with 130 employees and over $35 mm in revenue. This profitable group of companies is searching for an Accounting Intern to support the Corporate Accounting teams initiatives. This position will work side by side with a strong accounting team and the CFO.
What you’ll do
As an Accounting intern in the accounting group, you will be involved in audit testing, work on various finance projects that will build relationships with the accounting team and management. This is an hourly paid position.
What you’ll get
After this internship, you will be able to perform internal audits against existing policies and procedures, perform walkthroughs and perform substantive and operational testing. You will also be able to work in a corporate accounting setting, be exposed to various projects to include annual budgeting, have improved organizational and analytical skills and be better prepared for entering the accounting industry in either public accounting or a private business setting. Our interns benefit from exposure to all levels of company management, the daily operations of the company.

- Microsoft Excel – strong Excel skills are a must!
- Microsoft Word
Educational Background and other Key Factors:
TRI is targeting candidates who are in the advanced stages of a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting and have:
- Completion of Intermediate Accounting courses
- Strong financial analysis skills with solid Excel abilities
- Deep understanding of accounting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Other Requirements:
- Weekly work expectation is 20 hours per week
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university to be considered
