Job Description Summary / TWC Summary
Under moderate supervision performs advanced cleaning procedures to maintain interior of campus buildings and supervises day-to-day activities of custodians in assigned areas.
Essential Duties Summary
- Assists with planning, organizing, and developing specific goals and objectives relative to maintaining cleanliness of the campus buildings.
- Oversees and coordinates custodial activities including general cleaning and maintenance of assigned buildings.
- Collects recyclable materials from containers and empties materials into designated recycle containers.
- Inspects cleaning and general maintenance of assigned buildings and recycle bins and equipment.
- Prepares weekly maintenance reports of assigned buildings.
- Reports defective equipment, fixtures, plumbing and hazards to safety to the appropriate department.
- Performs detailed cleaning of assigned building, such as sweeping, mopping, waxing, buffing, and vacuuming floors.
- Serves as lead custodian on project work assigned by management
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education
High School diploma or G.E.D. or equivalent and specialized or technical training.

Knowledge of:
- Specialized practices, equipment and procedures.
- Requires some seasoning and experience beyond the entry level to conduct moderately complex work. Demonstrates general competence and growing knowledge and understanding of the overall function or discipline.
