What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nontenure Faculty Pool - Music position at Texas State University?

Temporary/non-tenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental need.
This posting is for the fall 2024, spring 2025, and summer 2024/2025 semesters. Please note that this posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists. Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises.
This position is subject to availability of funds.
Interested individuals should submit a current CV, cover letter outlining specific academic and professional experiences relevant for appointment, a statement of teaching philosophy, and unofficial transcripts (all transcripts should be in one document).
