Lecturer in Management – Department of Management & Marketing

The TWU Merrilee Alexander Kick College of Business & Entrepreneurship seeks a Lecturer in Management in the Department of Management & Marketing beginning August 2025. This position involves full-time teaching for the Merrilee Alexander Kick College of Business & Entrepreneurship. The teaching assignment will support primarily the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Management and the MBA program. The position may require face-to-face, hybrid and online teaching. Presence is required on the Denton campus to teach and engage in College, Departmental and University meetings, and other activities.

PRIMARY DUTIES - May include, but are not limited to the following:

Teaching five undergraduate or graduate courses per semester, which are delivered in multiple teaching formats.

Service activities are also required and are expected to support the attainment of program or College goals and may involve service to students, to the College, the University, or the community. These are identified and measured in consultation with the department chair or dean.

Maintaining office hours that meet departmental expectations.

Attending regular departmental and college meetings

. Although the position is based on the Denton campus, hybrid classes may be delivered on the Dallas or Houston campuses (with travel support).

Performing other duties as required.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate must have at least a Master’s degree in Management or a closely related discipline, plus significant and substantive professional experience.

ATTENDANCE

The faculty member must deliver courses as scheduled and be physically present for faculty meetings and scheduled university activities. In-person office hours are also required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - The following are essential:

Knowledge of the discipline and ability to teach various courses within the program as required

Strong interpersonal skills.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Ability to build and direct student teams, including in an online environment

Ability to plan and deliver oral presentations

Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the public

Ability to use a personal computer and other office equipment, including university related software and email

Working knowledge of technology and systems used to deliver educational programs to students, such as Canvas, Microsoft Office, Google, etc.

The College has three areas/departments: Department of Management & Marketing, Department of Accounting & Finance, and Healthcare Administration.
