About the role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to join our finance team at a growing flooring manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day accounting functions including data entry, invoice processing, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. This role is vital in ensuring financial accuracy and supporting smooth business operations in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Enter vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding to appropriate accounts and cost centers
- Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices (3-way match)
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of inventory-related transactions, including transfers and adjustments
- Support customer billing and accounts receivable tracking, including collections follow-up
- Process employee expense reports and verify documentation
- Assist with subcontractor files and COI and contracts
- File and maintain financial documents in an organized and secure manner
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the accounting department
- Payroll assistance and subcontractor payments
- Job cost analysis.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
- 1–3 years of accounting experience; manufacturing or inventory-heavy industry experience preferred
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., RFMS, NetSuite, SAP, and EPICOR)
- Strong understanding of debits, credits, and general ledger functions
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Experience with job costing, inventory tracking, or bill of materials (BOM)
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams, such as procurement or production
- Comfort working with subcontractors and vendors
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
