We are seeking to fill an Electrical Engineering Manager position located in our Clarksburg, MD Campus. This position reports to the Engineering Director. This role is responsible for providing technical and organizational leadership for the Electrical Engineering Dept. This position is well suited for a motivated and experienced engineering manager or design engineer with technical leadership experience. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical understanding and experience in the electrical engineering design of hardware for Helmet Mounted display units coupled with a strong understanding and experience in the organizational development of people and processes.

Responsibilities
- Provides technical and managerial leadership for an engineering department.
- Proactively interfaces with project leads and engineering management in resolving issues, coordinating resources, and managing activities.
- Develop and support strategic business plans, proposals, and initiatives.
- Drive continuous process improvement to ensure efficient and effective processes, high quality products and compliance to certifications, including CMMI and AS9100.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The principle duty of this position is to provide day-to-day supervision, leadership and support to the business, ensuring smooth and efficient operations in accordance with the organization’s operating policies and applicable laws. This will require the incumbent to continually search for opportunities to enhance processes and the product using a variety of problem solving techniques, effective interpersonal and communication skills, along with technical competency. Incumbent will motivate, coach and encourage employees to optimize career development and personal satisfaction. You will promote excellent employee relations and empowerment of all personnel within a multifunctional team Must be able to drive performance create good team cohesion, maintain departmental budget, effectively plan and retain resources.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required. - Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- BSEE/BSCE/BSCS or equivalent.
- An advanced technical or management degree is desirable.
- 8 years as a design engineer coupled with technical leadership experience.
- 4 years engineering organizational management experience is desirable.
- Ability to analyze a design to meet technical requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Extensive experience designing complex systems with multi-disciplined teams.
- Experience with DoD standards and practices (MIL-STD, ASTM, ANSI, etc.).
- Ability to comply with all Company guidelines, policies, procedures and embrace Company Core Values.
