What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hostess and Cashier position at Thano's Family Restaurant?
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Host to join our team! As the first and last point of contact for our guests, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming experience while supporting our front-of-house operations.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests with a warm, professional attitude
- Assist servers as needed during busy shifts
- Handle takeout orders accurately and efficiently
- Cash out customers and close the cash drawer at the end of the shift
- Keep the front area clean and organized at all times
- Complete assigned side work to help keep service running smoothly
Ideal Candidate:
- Friendly, outgoing, and team-oriented
- Able to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable handling cash and using a POS system
- Punctual and dependable
Experience is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person!
