About The Position
The Server/Cashier at The Admiral At The Lake is responsible for providing culinary information to residents and guests, taking orders, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. This role involves accurate communication with the kitchen, serving meals, and completing pre- and post-service tasks to maintain a high standard of service in a healthcare dining environment.
Responsibilities * Follows all correct procedures and techniques for floor service, utilizing the Waited Service Manual and other training tools. , * Completes pre-service tasks outlined for assigned dining room section prior to opening. , * Ensures all tables are properly set, furniture and floors are clean, and necessary supplies are available for service. , * Participates in daily pre-service meeting. , * Accurately transcribes guest orders into POS, properly executes POS communication to the kitchen, and serves selections to guests in an efficient/timely fashion. , * Monitors table timing to ensure consistent and smooth service of courses. , * Touches base with each assigned table after main course service to ensure guest satisfaction. , * Clears courses and appropriate service-ware from assigned tables per Waited Service Manual. , * Returns trays of service-ware to dishwashing area per Waited Service Manual. , * Completes post-service tasks outlined for assigned dining room section at end of shift. , * Fosters teamwork between utility workers, cooks and other servers during meal service.
Requirements * 1-2 years of experience in the hospitality industry, preferred. , * Illinois Food Handler Training required (Can complete upon hire). , * Must complete new hire online training and monthly online training upon hire. , * Computer literacy: POS, MS Office (Word and Excel), internet and email. , * Knowledge and experience of food service sanitation, table service, healthcare food regulations.
