The Adventure Nook Preschool is looking for an experienced teacher to join our team!

The right candidate will be responsible for the care, supervision, and management of a class of children in accordance with the goals and curriculum plan of The Adventure Nook.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Classroom Management - creating a nurturing, calm, and developmentally-appropriate classroom to ensure the safety and well-being of each child in your care
- Child Assessment - conducting focused observations of children, maintaining written records designed to evaluate each child and administer an accurate initial and year-end assessment
- Curriculum Development and Implementation - carrying out curriculum-based activities on a daily basis and evaluating their effectiveness
- Effective Communication - maintaining regular, respectful communication with parents and co-workers
- Collaboration - contributing to the effective operation of the overall school program

Required education and/or experience in one of the following:
- College degree in child development or early education
- College degree in an appropriate human service or education field (e.g. psychology, special education, music, social work) including some courses in child development
- Associate degree in child development or early childhood education
- Child development associate credential (CDA)
- At least one year of experience in an infant/toddler or preschool program
This position reports directly to the program director.
Hours:
- Monday-Friday 8 am - 2 pm

- Twice monthly
