What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Day Habilitation position at The Arc Lexington?
The Arc Lexington is currently looking for an Assistant Director of Day Habilitation to join their Day Habilitation department. The Assistant Director of Day Habilitation is responsible for coordination and direction of all Day Habilitation supports and ensure that the people we support are actively working towards their individual goals. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience working with people with developmentally disabled individuals in a day program setting. A Bachelor’s degree in Education or other related Human Services is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for screening, interviewing, employee performance appraisals, on-going supervision of Day Habilitation support staff.
- Will be responsible for orientation of new staff, on-going training and technical assistance as well as supervision of Direct Support Coordinators and Direct Support Staff.
- Be actively involved in researching, planning, and implementing strategies designed to teach individual goals in all Day Habilitation settings.
- Will contribute to planning and reviewing of individual’s program and shall work to integrate service plans from all service areas.
- Responsible for monitoring program budget for Day Habilitation supports.
- Has direct oversight of Program Managers and responsible to ensure that they are following all program guidelines and regulations.
- Responsible for daily transportation issues and concerns
- Responsible for substitute scheduling in all programs and locations on caseload.
- Responsible for the review of all incident reports in the Day Habilitation program.
- Ensure that the various committees of the Day Habilitation program are functioning properly.
