General Statement of Duties:
Primary responsibility is moving products throughout facility either manually or using equipment such as electric power jack. Unload product deliveries by removing from truck or vehicle. Load trucks or vehicles with products. Remove inventory as needed and supply product to production floor. Move completed product to warehouse and take inventory. Keep warehouse clean and safe. This position includes driving locally utilizing a single axle box truck provided by the employer. Deliver and pickup materials between multiple buildings.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The following is a summary of the essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below and essential functions may change from time to time.
- Move products throughout facility either manually or using equipment including electric power jack and/or forklift.
- Prepare all finished products for freight shipments by pallet wrapping and complete documentation.
- Ensure all records for transport, delivery and product transfer is recorded and presented accurately. Must note information including product damage, packaging, quantities, and quality.
- Assist with product inventory and report to manager or department staff.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers and staff.
- Keep warehouse organized, clean, and safe.
- Maintain and organize all documentation relating to materials. Provide information to necessary to staff and departments.
- Report anything that needs to be repaired or fixed immediately to manager.
- Deliver and pickup materials between multiple buildings.
- Maintain truck and ensure it is clean inside and out.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance inspections on truck and equipment to make recommendations for maintenance needs. Keep and track information. Ensure vehicle is road worthy for each trip.
- Assist with creating and maintaining a safe, clean environment for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with employer, state, federal and DOT regulatory policies and procedures.
- Maintain good driving habits and comply with all NYS DOT and NYSD Motor Vehicle Laws.
- Assist in other operational functions for all lines of business including production as needed.
- Operates company equipment in a safe and efficient manner in an effort to minimize the risk of injury and equipment damage.

- Maintain and promote confidentiality in accordance with Agency policy.
- Comply with all aspects of the Agency's Safety Policy.
- Adhere to scheduled hours and submit completed timesheets to supervisor on time each payroll period.
Qualifications:
The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential job functions.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs. or more repetitively on a daily basis and reach above head height.
- Ability to work independently and function as a team member with a wide range of people.
- Ability to work flexible schedules which may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver license.
- Must be familiar with DOT rules and regulations.
- An approved copy of a Drivers Abstract from NYSDMV and valid medical card if applicable must be available.
- Possess the overall knowledge of equipment and maintenance routines.
- Must be willing and able to interact with the community and customers in a manner consistent with the Agency's Core Values and upstanding business reputation.
- Ability to work with and assist other Agency staff members or any other assigned duties.
Education and Experience
Any combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills.
Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of general work experience minimum required.
- 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Local delivery experience preferred.
- CDL license preferred.
