What does a Respite Specialist do?
Respite Specialists provide care for individuals with a broad range of disabilities, allowing their caregivers a period of rest. This position will transport the people we support to activities in the community, such as shopping, movies, or fun events. Some responsibilities may include ensuring proper supervision and safety, maintaining communication between program staff, and developing a positive relationship with the people we support!
Pay Rate
- The starting salary is $15.50/hour, with a $500 sign on bonus!!
Schedule/Hours
- Monday - Friday, 2:15 PM - 10:00 PM. No weekends or holidays!!
Qualifications
- Experience working with people with disabilities preferred
- Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation
- High school diploma or GED
- Will be required to transport the people we support on a daily basis
