Warehouse Processing Clerk

Position Summary:

The duties and responsibilities for this position includes working in the warehouse, meeting safety regulations, making deliveries and pick-ups, driving a forklift and helping to ensure that inventory levels are maintained.

Position Qualifications:

High School Diploma with at least 1 year of warehouse experience preferred

Essential Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensures environmentally safe regulatory compliance in the warehouse.

2. Foster a positive work climate and encourage teamwork.

3. Maintain certification to drive/operate a forklift.

4. Safely loading, moving and unloading materials with a forklift.

5. Maintain timely, positive communications with supervisor and all internal and external contacts.

6. Make routine deliveries to thrift store.

7. Schedule routine pick-ups from drop-off sites.

8. Sorting and organizing inventory for thrift stores.

9. Communicate with other departments or managers to ensure that inventory is available for the thrift store.

10. Maintain a neat and orderly warehouse using space to its best potential.

11. Substitute van route driver for daily participants.

12. Performs all other duties as apparent or assigned.

Other Duties as Required or Requested:

1. Willingly accepts assignments or tasks when requested

2. Maintains CPR/First Aid Certification

3. Actively attends staff meeting(s) and training sessions as requested

4. Appropriately communicates concerns and suggestions in a timely manner

5. Maintains forklift driver certification

Essential Skills:

1. Must be bondable

2. Must be able to evacuate the premises independently in case of emergency and assist other employees to do the same

3. Valid Class D chauffer’s drivers license and acceptable driving history for company insurance

4. Physical ability to lift fifty to seventy-five (50 - 75) pounds

Other Requirements

Must pass criminal history check by Rapides Sheriff’s office and State Police

Must pass drug & alcohol screen and health clearance

Valid LA driver’s license and acceptable driving history for company insurance
