Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Music and Movement Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. This role requires a strong commitment to child welfare and the ability to implement engaging lesson plans that align with developmental milestones.
Responsibilities
- Work with our curriculum and your own creativity to implement lesson plans that include songs, dances, games and activities for 2 and 3 year old classes
- Supervise students at all times to assure health, welfare and safety of students.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support each child's educational journey.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Organize classroom activities that promote teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space that reflects the children's work and interests.
- Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent are required; Teaching certification or degree in child development would increase pay
- Previous experience working with children in a preschool or kindergarten setting not required but useful.
- Strong skills in planning and classroom management.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in childcare.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for nurturing young minds and supporting their growth.
- Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification (Training will be Provided)
- Food Handling License (Training will be Provided)
