Army Barracks is a unique Army/Navy retail store open to the public.
Specializing in military surplus, camping, survival and tactical gear, as well as airsoft guns and accessories. We offer a large variety of mens, women’s and children’s clothing, headwear, boots, gloves, backpacks, knives, swords and many novelty items.
We are passionate about creating a memorable shopping experience that customers will want to return to and share.
This is a great opportunity to develop your management skills with a responsive company. As part of our management team you will be responsible for driving sales performance, daily operations, staff management and overall productivity.
This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills. With an emphasis on customer satisfaction and profitability, you'll be involved in all aspects of operations and merchandising of the store while fostering a positive and successful working environment for everyone.

Responsibilities:
- Providing a hands on approach to support your staff and customers
- Ensure customers are warmly welcomed
- Using good judgment to adapt to the needs of each customer in handling unusual requests or difficult customer interactions
- Managing and promoting product movement through merchandising, ordering, inventory and receiving
- Creating an environment in which consumers are eager and excited to spend time browsing the shelves
- Supporting your team and taking pride in maintaining a pleasant environment
- Communicating effectively with staff, management, and customers
- Hiring and training the right people in order to meet store goals
- Planning, implementing, and overseeing all daily operations
- Opening and closing the store
Skills:
- Effective motivational, communication, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Requirements:
- Prefer at least 2 yrs retail store experience (min. 1yr retail mgmt experience is ideal)
- Flexibility to work retail hours including nights, weekends and some holidays
- Outstanding customer service skills, a good work ethic, reliable, and a sense of integrity
- Ability to lift max 40lbs, stand/walk for extended periods of time, and occasionally climb ladders
