PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for assisting with general bookkeeping/accounting duties and office administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Grain accounting processing including:
- Apply scale tickets, process settlement checks, set up deferred and price later contracts
- Enter and invoice outbound trains, apply advances and settlements
- Process customer sales transactions and run month end statements
- Answering phones and greeting walk-in customers
- Ability to handle individual customer dynamics and relationships
- Provide support for management's information requests in a timely and accurate manner
- Accounts payable processing
- Other responsibilities as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Associates degree in accounting or other business-related field, or high school degree and two years of related experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP helpful
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Light sedentary office work
- Frequently: vision and hearing abilities, sitting and repetitive wrist, hand, and/or finger movement
- Sometimes: lifting, carrying up to 20-35 lbs (i.e. office supplies)
- Rarely: extensive standing, walking, exposure to hazardous materials, weather conditions
- Physical requirements may change with duties.
