Overview
Brenner Aerostructures is currently seeking a skilled Assembler in our busy production facility. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of detailed assembling experience and excellent communication skills. Ability to follow work instructions, and read Assembly Instructions is required. He/she will also have great attention to detail and an ability to multitask as required. Quality, problem solving, operation monitoring, critical thinking, operation and control, active listening, reading comprehension, troubleshooting & equipment maintenance as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assemble precision assemblies, set up and operate ream fixtures to drill, countersink, spot face, hone and bore for mating major assemblies
- Promote and ensure a safe working environment by demonstrating and promoting Atlas safety policy behavior.
- Assemble a variety of aircraft components by drilling and riveting together
- Use customer supplied tools to trim or route final configuration
- Install fasteners using both wet and dry install methods
- Remove tape and adhesive flash as required
- Follow the production schedule set by the work center lead and the Production Manager
- Adhere to production processes as determined by quality and engineering
- Participate in setups and cleanups as directed by the work center lead
- Work overtime and/or Saturdays as necessary based on the production schedule
- Complete preventative maintenance as required
- Read, understand, and fill out all required paperwork and computer forms
Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required
- 1-3 years’ experience working in a production/manufacturing environment as an Assembler
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills
- Able to multi-task in a fast-paced production environment
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted, stand, bend, stoop
- Able to work on foot for extended periods of time
