This position reports directly to the Vice President of Engineering for The Austin Company. Must have the ability to exercise good independent judgment in a variety of situations, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, administrative and organizational expertise and the ability to maintain a balance among multiple priorities.
In addition, the ideal candidate must have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, use tact and discretion when dealing with confidential business matters and be able to work skillfully at handling a wide variety of activities while meeting deadlines.

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Engineering for The Austin Company. Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelors’ degree a plus. 5 years’ experience in an executive administrative role or similar business role. Will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience to meet the required knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies of the position.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to exercise good judgment and to interact with a variety of individuals with tact and courtesy.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise a high degree of discretion dealing with confidential matters.
- Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and social media web platforms.
- Analytical ability is required to gather and summarize data for reports, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational, project management and recordkeeping skills. Ability to take meeting minutes.
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentation. Strong attention to grammar, spelling, punctuation and format of written communications.
- Knowledge of general office equipment and systems and the ability to use, maintain and procure.
- Confidential and ethical conduct, while living the values of teamwork and maintaining a customer-centered focus.

- Answer phones for the executive team in a professional manner.
- Schedule appointments and keep meeting calendars for supported executive management.
- Write draft letters and other communications on behalf of the Vice President of Engineering and other executives.
- Open, screen and distribute mail to the Vice President of Engineering.
- Fill out and submit expense reports for the Vice President of Engineering.
- Produce professional, error free documents, presentations and agendas using various computer software programs.
- Provide administrative support for all internal and external communications for the Vice President of Engineering.
- Identify and address the needs of the Vice President of Engineering and provide suggestions to improve processes to ensure workflow runs smoothly.
- Arranges executive events such as lunches and ensures amenities for meetings held by executive management.
- Responsible for updating various company and office spreadsheets.
