Job Summary:
The AZEK Company, Scranton division is seeking a Janitor. If you are a high-energy, motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, please submit your resume for further consideration. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean facility by completing a variety of cleaning tasks.
Work schedule will be either 7:00 am to 4:00 pm or 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
Core Responsibilities:
- Clean the interior of designated areas in various building including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, and walls
- Disinfect commonly used items such as desktops, door handles, office equipment, and telephones
- Empty trash and recycling bins from designated areas
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Vacuum, sweep and mop floors
- Clean and maintain restrooms
- Clean and maintain breakroom/lunchrooms
- Wash and clean window interiors
- Replenish consumable items such as hand soap, paper towel, toilet paper, etc.
- Wash and clean mirrors
- Dust furniture and fixtures
- Periodic cleaning of ceiling vents
- Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects as needed
- Cooperate with the rest of the Facilities staff, as needed
- Follow all health and safety rules and guidelines
- Perform and document routine inspection and cleaning activities
- Notify supervisor of unsafe conditions, occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
Qualifications:
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of various cleaning products and when to use them
- Ability to clean and disinfect various surfaces
- Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds
- Good organizational skills
- Knowledge of safety guidelines when working with chemical cleaners
- Excellent time-management skills
- Integrity and ability to work independently
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments
- Work individually as well as within a team
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
Physical Demands:
Ability to work in an environment that can become hot/cold (temperature) depending on the weather. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; climb ladders; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must individually lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., infrequently. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
