What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server/Waitstaff position at The Beach House?
The Beach House in Bristol, RI is looking for servers to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged.
Basic Job Function:
Provide food and beverage service in an efficient and courteous manner,
following established standards. To uphold and ensure compliance with all
company and departmental policies and procedures.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
• Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and in a clean uniform.
• Prepare dining room for service prior to guest arrival, including the supplying of server stations, setting of and inspection of all tables for cleanliness, and correctness of settings.
• Must maintain a passing score of 85% or above on written and verbal food and beverage tests.
• Serve food and beverage items according to prescribed procedures.
• Monitor diners' satisfaction frequently and anticipate needs without requiring direction.
• Reset tables as needed.
• Properly obtain completed guest checks bearing all required information.
• Learn the names and personally recognize our regular guests.
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvements.
• In addition, other duties may be required as directed by your Manager.
