Serious candidates only please. We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher/Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen area. This position is essential for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized promptly, contributing to the overall success of our food service operations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment using 3 compartment sink method or clean in place procedure while adhering to strict sanitation standards.
- Ensure that all items are properly cleaned and neatly stored in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area by wiping down counters, removing spills on the floor, mopping floors, scrubbing floors, and disposing of waste properly.
- Monitor trash cans throughout sift, making sure to remove full trash cans and boxes as needed and at the end of shift.
- Assist with the preparation of food items as needed, supporting cooks and kitchen staff during busy periods with tasks like peeling vegetables or chopping produce.
- Clean and sanitize storage areas, including coolers and freezers.
- Assist in storing food deliveries.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals.
- Keep all areas of building clean - inside and out.
- Assist in closing.
- Other duties as assigned.
