The Brentwood Senior Living is seeking a friendly, talented and dependable maintenance technician with well-rounded handyman skills to take on maintenance at our award-winning, 58-unit assisted living residence. Visit our website at www.thebrentwoodseniorliving.com.
This person will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance tasks but will also direct vendors in specialized areas needed.

Typical schedule is Mon - Fri, 8 am - 4:30 pm with nights and weekend availability if needed for special projects or tasks.
This position reports to the Executive Director.
$17 - 20/hour DOE.
Must have valid driver's license and reliable vehicle to pick up supplies, etc.
Must be able to successfully pass background check.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete apartment/room service requests and log all assigned work orders accurately and in a timely fashion
- Manage vacant apartments by preparing them through the turnover process so apartments are ready to lease to new prospects
- Keep the grounds free of debris and trash
- Manage landscaping vendor. Maintain landscaping as needed between visits.
- Manage large maintenance projects and ensure timelines are met and within budget guidelines.
- Ensuring all company vans and limo are in excellent working order (work with mechanic shops)
- Provide excellent customer service to our senior residents
- May take on housekeeping department management in the future.
- Order cleaning supplies for housekeepers.
- Resolve electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs, installations, service, and replacements in a responsible and professional manner that meets industry standards. This includes servicing:
- Electrical circuits, receptacles, breakers, switches, and fuses
- security and call light systems
- Light fixtures
- Installation and minor repairs of appliances such as small refrigerators and washers and dryers in laundry room
- Toilets, sinks and vanities
- Caulking
- Minor carpentry repairs
- Window screens and blinds
- Interior and exterior doors
- Painting and drywall repair
- Removing bulk trash (mostly furniture)
- Clearing drains and sewer lines up to 4'
Qualifications & Requirements:
HS diploma or GED.
At least two years' prior maintenance experience in a similar setting and position within an assisted living, nursing home or apartment facility.
General knowledge of all aspects of maintenance repair and service. HVAC experience is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
Must be able to successfully pass background check
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and climb ladders
Competent knowledge in Microsoft Office programs - Word, Excel, and email. Must be able to effectively communicate via email.
Friendly, kind team player who enjoys working with the elderly and enhancing their quality of life.
Can-do, will-do attitude. Can jump in to assist in any department if need be. We are a small team and help each other in any way needed.
Ability to work nights and weekends as needed to complete projects and tasks.
