Description
The Seasonal Turf Care Associate is responsible for assisting the turf-care management team in the day-to-day maintenance and preservation of the grounds at the Queenstown Harbor property which is owned and managed by the Brick Companies. This position reports directly to the Turf Care Superintendent. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Operations:
- Follow schedule and directions from supervisor.
- Cut and maintain grasses depending on location according to scheduled frequency and designated levels necessary to maintain proper playing conditions using the appropriate equipment
- Daily bunker maintenance
- Maintain standard of golf course playability established by management by fixing problem areas around golf course including drainage areas; filling potholes; reseeding,cutting, treating, and planting tree area
- Perform light repairs to building as needed (i.e., painting, etc.)
- Follow all safety regulations established by management
- Report problems immediately to supervisor
- Maintain the organization’s image and philosophy in all contact with co-workersand customers
- Clear snow (when applicable) from driveways and walkways
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
Education and Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience relating to golf course or turf maintenance preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to deal with public and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to follow instructions.
Salary : $29,200 - $36,900
