JOB SUMMARY
Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for providing, through a team of associates, a visibly stunning and esthetically clean environment for the guests and associates. The position assists the Housekeeping Manager and is responsible for the cleanliness of all guest rooms, public areas and offices while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily Responsibilities
- Oversee entire housekeeping operation as needed.
- Inspect guest rooms.
- Communicate daily with the Call Center and Engineering.
- Critique employee performance.
- Assign daily work to employees.
- Handle guest requests.
- Work with other departments to ensure cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Forecast business levels.
- Work with housekeeping manager to ensure proper productivity and quality standards.
- Answer housekeeping phones and dispatch as needed.
- Communicate between housekeeping shifts on a daily basis.
- Follow the hotel green policies.
- Ensure trash/recyclables are disposed of properly.
- Attend departmental meetings.
- Understand written material pertaining to valet parking department.
- Follow The Villages Employee Handbook policies and hotel standard operating procedures.
- Work with department staff and follow all departmental rules.
- Perform any additional responsibilities requested by the General Manager, Guest Services Manager, Manager on Duty, or Supervisor.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Related experience required.
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers, copiers and fax machines.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must remain professional, responsive and cooperative at all times and consistently produce quality work while meeting deadlines.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervisory responsibilities are associated in this position. Provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or portfolio specific training to co-workers.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from team members and staff. English is required for oral and written communications (bilingual, Spanish speaking a plus).
MATHMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

NOTE: The hotel functions 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. All associates must realize this fact and be aware that at times it may be necessary to move an associate from their accustomed shift as business demands. In addition, I understand that business determines the amount of hours I work. A minimum of 45 hours a week and could be more based on business/staffing needs.
